Internship/Externship

Basic Information

      Our center offers the opportunity for masters and doctoral level clinicians to gain a strong foundation of play-based methods and modalities, while working with a variety of issues and challenges. Our services are offered to children, families and parents. The internship and externship experience provides direct clinical experience. In addition trainees also receive business building and private practice based training.

Time Commitment

  • 1 year commitment

  • 700 contact hours (10 clients per week)

  • Weekly team meetings, Thursday 10:00-12:00 for training and development

Supervision

  • 1 hour weekly with Licensed Professional Counselor

  • 2 hours additional group supervision

 

Requirements for placement

  • Enrolled (or graduated from) Masters or Doctoral level graduate degree program

  • CO Background Check (to be provided at time of hire)

  • Strong interest in both personal and professional growth

  • Previous work with children and/or families

 

Openings

  • We currently have no openings for 2020

  • Start dates will begin in June or August

Private Practice Mentorship

Basic Information

      Our center was started from the ground up, meaning to be where we are today required a lot of hard work, dedication and the willingness to seek mentorship and guidance to support the development of our business. Director Bridget Borsdorf, has developed a specific formula to support new Therapists in building there dream practice.

Time Commitment

  • Current 1:1 Programs are offered for 3 months

Supervision

     No supervision is offered through mentorship

 

Requirements

  • Currently have a private practice

  • Be working towards licensure

  • Financial Investment

  • There are currently 2 Openings, beginning January 2019

Requirements

  • Masters or Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Mental Health or other related field 

  • Experience working with children and families 

  • Training in Non-Directive Play Therapy Modalities
